Delman Big Data Startup Secures 23.6 Billion Rupiah Funding from Intudo Ventures, Prasetia Dwidharma, dan Qlue

Soon to build an R&D center in Surabaya this year

Big data management platform startup, Delman, today (26/5) announced the seed funding worth of US $1.6 million or equivalent to 23.6 billion Rupiah. This investment round was led by Intudo Ventures, with the participation of Prasetia Dwidharma Ventures and startup smart city solution developer Qlue.

The funds raised will be focused on business expansion, by developing a big data management ecosystem that can be used by clients to make predictions and business decisions, and build the Delman R&D Center in Surabaya this year.

"We found that some companies spent US$ 200 thousand and 70% of their time cleansing and classifying data into a database (warehousing). There is a lot of data with a non-uniform, irregular shape, and typos, making it difficult for scientist data to process the data and make it an accurate analysis in real-time," Delman's Founder & CEO, Surya Halim explained.

Since founded in 2018, Delman has been working with Qlue to help big data management in various companies and government agencies. The solutions consist of combining, cleaning, and classifying data; to visualize data in the form of a dashboard that is easy to understand.

Meanwhile, Qlue's Founder & CEO, Rama Raditya said, in the midst of a pandemic, his company continued to actively invest in startups with great potential. He believes Delman, as a newcomer, will become a major player in the big data industry and push big data to a higher level in Indonesia. Previously, Qlue also participated in the Nodeflux's seed funding.

"The big data market in Indonesia will continue to grow and the on-demand solution has shifted to local companies because it can provide solutions in line with the needs of Indonesian companies. In addition, there are many Indonesia companies planning for digital transformation, but yet to optimize big data processing and analyzing," Rama said.

Intudo Ventures Founding Partner, Eddy Chan said, "Since the meeting with Delman founding team in Silicon Valley in 2017, we have seen their growth as solid management and we will continue to support them going forward."
